last night i sat on the couch rooting for the red sox. sure, i’m an a’s fan, but having an attachment to a team in the playoffs just makes it a little more enjoyable. and why the sox?

1. mark kotsay
2. the phillies and sox could be a confusing mix of red on the field would just be tons of fun.
3. there would be immense potential for a repeat performance of the papelbon jig.
4. the rays removed the word “devil” from their name, and all of a sudden they’re on fire? i smell a yeasty consipiracy from this team on the rise.

my cheering must not have been boisterous enough for the sox… but now who to root for? why… joe blanton, of course!
