austin, we have a problem.

snowfamilies.jpgi'm in the austin-bergstrom international airport, waiting to hear if my delayed flight home will be taking off or not tonight. the gate person claims fog, haze, and/or locusts are currently swarming around the san bruno area. gazing into the FAA crystal ball, TPTB predict our plane, under the current conditions, won't be able to land in san francisco. there are times when i really wonder why the DOD hasn't perfected the tractor beam yet. or the transporter.

with all this in mind, i'm thankful that the electrical malfunction on my previous flight from orlando wasn't bad enough to rock us out of the sky, and on an actual baseball-related note, i'm staring at the UT longhorns store, sad that they don't sell huston street or street family shirts and memorabilia. even though he's with the rockies (for now), that still would've been awesome.

I know how you feel about airports.

My airport of doom on my way back home from road trips to watch the team is Atlanta's cluster of a bi-leveled always under construction airways. More than once I had to sprint from terminal to terminal after staying in the air for an hour later than planned to catch a connecting flight back to Tampa.

I have not been to McAfee since my buddy Scott Hemond stopped catching for the A's a long time ago. I have to get back there when you move into your new digs.

Congrats on the MLBlogs Top 100, and have a safe and Happy Holidays.
